PERMANENT MAKE UP

Q: What is Permanent Make- up?

A: Permanent Makeup is also called permanent cosmetics, micro-pigmentation, or simply, a cosmetic “tattoo.” Extremely tiny amounts of natural pigments are inserted into the dermal layer of the skin. The result is “Permanent Makeup;” a desired cosmetic effect, which will last for several years.

Q: Who is the candidate for Permanent Make-up?

A: Men (yes!) and women who want to look their best all the time. Permanent Makeup is perfect for busy people who don't want to spend too much time each day applying makeup; for people who have light, sparse or half eyebrows; for people who have sensitive eyes or sparse lashes; for people who are physically active or who have oily skin that sheds makeup easily; and for persons with poorly defined or descending lips.

Q: May I choose the color and shape?

A: Absolutely. In fact, nothing is done without your approval. First, we work with you to design the most attractive style and shape based on your facial features and personal preference. Then, individualized color is mixed according to your skin tone. We have a large variety of colors from which all different shades of colors can be mixed.

Q: What if I want to change the color after the procedure?

A: No problem. Permanent makeup works to enhance your natural beauty so that you look good all the time. It is applied in the skin and you can always apply conventional makeup on the skin to create the desired look.

Q: Is It Painful?

A: At Allure Day Spa, we strive in assuring a painless experience by using excellent pain management techniques. Topical anesthetic ointment is applied prior and during each procedure. Most clients experience a very mild stinging sensation, comparable to tweezing.

Q: How Long does the procedure take?

A: Each procedure takes our experienced technician an average of 90 minutes, which includes designing the right look according to your facial structure, skin tone and hair formation, as well as applying the anesthetic . The actual permanent makeup application is only 15-20 minutes.

Q: What’s the recovery time?

A: You can go back to work right after the procedure. But you will have some swelling on the lip and eyeliner. The color looks 20-30% stronger than the finial result. It takes about 4 to 6 days for the skin to completely heal.

Q: Is it safe?

A: If proper sterilization and sanitary guidelines are met, permanent cosmetics should be completely safe. These guidelines include the following:

Q: Can I change the shape and color after initial application ?

A: Yes. Due to the fact that most new clients tend to prefer a lesser amount of permanent makeup application during their first visit, we invite all clients return to our clinic for a six-week “perfection check-up.” This second visit allows our clients up to decide if their color and design is the permanent look they desire. During this “touch-up” visit, most clients will typically ask for a more defined look, so my professional technician will sometime add or slightly change a color, or even balance and enhance the initial details. Rest assured, we won’t stop until you are satisfied!!
